Need guidance implementing sort/filter sidebar
-
Hello,
I am using Genesis Framework for WordPress, with Dynamik Website Builder, and Beaver Builder front end page builder.
I would like to create a page for my website that simply loads “x” posts and displays the posts featured image in a grid/gallery, as well as a left sidebar. Now here is the tricky part, I need the side bar to contain checkboxes that sort/filter the displayed posts without reloading the whole page. Here is a perfect example of what I am trying to accomplish (except I don’t care about having a compare capability) https://thegoodride.com/snowboard-reviews/?mens=1
I believe this would require some JS and probably some CSS, both of which I have minimal experience with. I’ve found this JS script called isotope: https://isotope.metafizzy.co/
This seems like it would get the job done but I have no idea how to implement it, or style it so the parameters are contained in a left sidebar. Does anyone have experience with implementing and styling isotope?Does anyone know of a way to create a page that can sort/filter posts like that? I am open to considering premium plugin’s.
Thanks for your time and help,
-TJ
