Just got this up and running in the last few weeks. It may not look like it but I’ve spent a ton of time tweaking things here and there and finally have a few things how I want it. Although things can always be better…..any suggestions? Thanks!

its an outdoor gear site, with gear giveaways, soon to be a daily giveaway.

  • Wow, sweet, I think you are on to something, your site seems very clean and well laid out. If you are new and dont have a ton of visitors, I wouldnt get bogged down in the details, ie spend a week on the layout. Try spending time generating content for your site and traffic. For traffic, try posting in forums for your subjects.

I repelled once like a 100 foot cliff in utah (big deal I know) but love to see photos and stuff about el cap, survival, etc. Like that guy in utah that got stuck and had to cut his hand off…..

The one thing that stood out on your site was how to start a fire which i wont need to do anytime soon i dont think and i can watch that on survivor anyway.

I would really like to see an index of articles such as climbing, marathon, etc. I saw recent posts, but no other index really. When I searched for “ironman” nothing came up. I think people would rather use a category index or an archive of your posts rather than have to search your site.

To summarize, great layout. Definitely get some sort of archive or index of your content. Work on generating content and traffic.

thanks for your ideas. I still working our site organization strategies.

I like the pictures and the overall layout, agree that an index and some more articles would be good.
