    Hi,
    I need suggestions for the best 2.3.1 compatible plugins for:

      I’d like to add videos from places like YouTube
      I need a good contact form
      A good site stats plugin
      An SEO plugin

      Hopefully they’ll be easy for a newbie to use

    I’ve used Post Thumbs Revisited for anumber of other things and find it great. It has support for videos and youTube.

    Look at Dagon Design’s contact form as a straight forward one.

    Not sure about the other two – I use feedBurner to generate my stats and simplify the RSS process.

    the RSS Signature v.1.1 Modified works great. Really handy for when people “syndicate” your rss feed…
