• Hello,

    One of our customers said:
I’ve filled out all the forms and gave my credit card number, and when I get to the end and push donate, I go back to the original screen that indicates that I still have one item in my cart.

The order shows in Woo as pending payment.

The office manager checked authorize.net and it said this about the transaction:
Declined (This transaction was declined due to a card code mismatch with the card code on file with the card issuing bank. This is NOT based on the settings in the Merchant Interface. Contact your merchant service provider for resolution.)

Shouldn’t the customer get some sort of notification on the site when the transaction doesn’t go through so they know they need to fix the number or use a different card when this happens rather than just still having the product in cart?

    Hi @prcm777 ,

I understand how confusing it must be to see the order stuck as ‘pending payment’ after entering their card details. It seems like there’s an issue with the card code provided and what’s on record with your bank, leading to the decline.

You’re correct, typically, there should be an on-screen notification if a transaction doesn’t process properly. I recommend checking if the settings to display these messages are set up correctly. This will depend on the payment gateway plugin you’re using. Can you let us know which one it is?

You might also want to check if it’s updated to the latest version.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for your reply. It is the YITH Woocommerce Authorize.net Payment Gateway. I use this because they allow for off-site payment because we don’t want the payment on the site or stored on the site.

Thank you for your help with this.
