    Oh dear! Messed up my customer CSS codes. Simply want to change the colours, remove underlain and add hover over colour. Can anyone give me a clue please. I think it best to remove all I have and start again? Using WP Third Style.

    .entry-title {
    display: none;
    }#secondary .widget_links a {
    color: #013487;
    }.entry-content a {
    color: #013487;
    #content {
    color:”#013487″
    }a:link {color:#ffffff; text-decoration:none;}
    a:hover {color:#FFFFFF;} /* mouse over link */

    right – done that – and now I copy and paste all of the code you sent me – at the very beginning – before the existing code?

    Wipe everything in that style.css file and add the code I gave very recently.

    All right.

    I’m going to revert back to parent again for now – and maybe over weekend I’ll find time to set up another child theme. My head hurts!! I so knew that this wasn’t my forte!! Let me know when you’ve viewed my art work!!

    All right. At least, you are slowly learning about child themes and you will get the hang of it.

    what do you think happened?

    It wasn’t calling the parent theme stylesheet correctly.

    ah – ok – so something not in code properly – or something I did in files in cpanel – more probably. thanks again for your help – I’m off to rest my head. Maybe catch up over weekend please?

    Carol,

    In your wp-content folder, you should have a ‘themes’ folder. Then in that ‘themes’ folder, it may list some folders such as

    -themes
    –twentyfourteen
    –twentythirteen
    –third-style

    Third Style is your parent theme. Did it say “third-style” or did it say “Third Style” with no dash?

    Thread Starter beaconoflightenfield

    (@beaconoflightenfieldmailcouk)

    third-style

    OK. Now, create an empty folder called “third-style-child” then the file structure should be:

    -themes
    –twentyfourteen
    –twentythirteen
    –third-style
    –third-style-child
