    Hi,

I am trying to make certain pages without widgets which I accomplished….my problem now the content back ground image is staying the same size as if there were widgets on the side….how do I expand the content back ground image just for the pages without the widgets? Is there a way to do this? I tried to use firebug which was no help to me.

Also how do I find the page id number. Thanks for your help it is really appreciated.

  • please post a link to your site, to one of the pages with the problem.

if your theme uses body_class(), you should have an individual css class per page, such as .page-id-237 which you can use in style.css in connectin with the css selector that rules the width of the content area.

(you can see the page ID in the link url at the bottom of the browser, when you hover over the page link in the page list in dashboard -> pages -> all pages
    example .../wp-admin/post.php?post=237&action=edit )

Hi I have this figured this all out, thanks for the reply! The only problem I am having now is when I choose “no side bars” for a certain page I am getting double images at the bottom of the page, if I choose to use widgets all is alright. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I can’t link to the page because its on a wamp server ??

I am getting double images at the bottom of the page

if you are working locally, your are (unfortunately) on your own with formatting problems of your kind.

without seeing your site, it is virtually impossible to comment on your problem.

I found a plug in “Hide it” works great!
