Need code for child theme

Hi,

I”m trying to create a child theme for Kale so I can keep all of my css styling for when Kale updates…and I think I will also need this if I switch to pro? I see that the documentation suggests creating a child theme before updating template however, What is the code I should be pasting into my style.css sheet and my functions.php sheet? Not sure where to find it, and tried to email support, but not sure if I have the right email.
