    Hi,

I would like to know if the WooCommerce Tax plugin with the automated tax enabled will automatically charge tax for states where the nexus amount is reached, or will I have to manually add it to the tax rates.

How can I manage without a plugin like TaxJar?

    Thanks.

    Hi @hameedhudeen

When the automated taxes are enabled, it will automatically calculate and add taxes based on your customer’s shipping address and your store’s address. However, it does not automatically account for the nexus amount in each state. You would need to manually adjust tax rates in your settings if you reach a nexus in a new state.

In managing without a plugin like TaxJar, you would need to manually set up tax rates for each state where you have a tax obligation. This can be done in the standard WooCommerce settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax.

Please let us know if you have further questions or need additional clarification.

It only takes a couple of minutes but helps us tremendously. It would mean so much to us and would go a really long way.

    Thanks!
