Need Clarification On Moving From Test to Live On Same Domain

    Hi,

    Before I upload this plug in to my sites I just have a few questions please.

    I have 2 sites, Live.com and Test.Live.com . I want to move everything from Test.Live.com.
    I’ve already done my backups using another backup plug in on both sites.

    #1 To migrate, Do I add the plug-in to test.live.com and export/save export first? Then import that same exported file onto my live site?

    #2 Would you suggest also doing an export of Live.com just in case something goes wrong?

    I’m so scared I’m gonna screw something up, but this plug in is by far one of the simplest I’ve seen and allows for content merging.

    Hi Blisslove,

    Thank you so much for reaching out.
    Yes, you will need to install the plugin on both of your sites.
    Firstly, export from Live.com just to make a backup for your safety sake.
    Then export from Test.Live.com and import the file onto Live.com.

    Please make sure NOT to use Find/Replace on export. Just click “Export to File” and the plugin will do the rest.
