Need Capitol Letters in Permalink

  • I need the ability to have capitol letters in my permalink. Is this possible?

    We’re moving from another CMS to WordPress and I have hundreds of pages that are already indexed with Google with capitol letters in the URL. Google sees urls case sensitive. I would use the Redirection plugin but we’re having trouble getting it to work on our server.

    Can I get WordPress to accept uppercase letters in my permalink?

  • Yes, WordPress should just ignore capitalization differences in a permalink, so your existing links should be just fine.

    Getting it to generate mixed-case letters in a permalink would be a little trickier.
