    Hello, in any way can the image linking to ‘featured image’ is customizable to some external images, like images from ‘upload’ folder, programmatically, using php code? if yes in which page the linking process is written?

    Unfortunately there’s no easy way to do that, it would require a serious effort to rewrite the code like that.
