Need autolink shortcode to open in new tab

I’m using this shortcode autolink=”yes” which works fine, however, when clicked on the link, it doesn’t open in a new window/tab. I tried adding newwindow=”yes” but that doesn’t work. How can I make autolink open in a new tab?
