• Hello! Please allow me to apologize in advance that I am mostly technologically challenged. It took me a year to sign up to www.remarpro.com and create an account. My church has a website that has not been updated in several years. Yes sadly, that is truth! At the moment, we have no idea who the administrator would be or who did it last. I thought that maybe I could attempt to be the admin, so I googled some things and played around. I put “/admin” at the end of our website address and it took me to wordpress to log in. I have an account with wordpress but apparently it was the .com site and not this one. I honestly had zero idea there were two different sites. So apparently our church website is through here?? Someone in the wordpress.com forum where I posted my question, also said that our site is hosted with something called bluehost. I simply want to see if I can easily become the admin of our website (otherwise we may hire a computer person – which might be the best solution). Lol I have a blog site at the other wordpress and know a little bit how to add things and move stuff around. Thank you so much!!

  • Hi @elshaver123

    Difference between www.remarpro.com and WordPress.COM: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

Bluehost is your hosting provider. Learn more: What is Web Hosting?

I have contacted the Bluehost support team on your behalf and they told me Bluehost username and email address on which the website is hosted.

Sorry I can’t post it here because this is a violation of guidelines.

For now, I can only say that the email address linked to the website’s Bluehost account ends with “@hotmail.com”.

You can ask the Bluehost support team for username and email address of the account linked with goodnewslutheranministry.org here: https://helpchat.bluehost.com/, tell them all your issues and they will surely help you.

After getting the email address, you can go for the next step to find which person have that email address, you can contact her/him and then request a reset password from here: https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/forgot

Once you reset the password you will also be able to log in to your website admin area.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your detailed response – and for contacting bluehost! You are very kind. I will look further into this and see what I can figure out.

    Thank you again!
