We are using the “WP-2FA” plugin for managing 2FA in our website but we need the same functionality for the mobile app.
Hence we need an API for the mobile app in order to manage the plugin 2FA auth code, when someone makes an attempt to log in.
So does this plugin support any API to manage this or could you please provide any solution for this? Thanks!

    Hello @chrisanubhav

Thank you very much for trying our plugin.

At the moment the plugin does not have any API to do such things. Would you please explain in more detail what you would like to do so we can see how to better support such requirement?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @robert681,

We need an API for the mobile app in order to check the 2FA auth code after the user enters the username and password.

    • The user enters the username and password and the data is sent through the API.
    • If the data is correct, an Auth API will be sent to the app to verify the Auth code (which is already sent by the plugin to any Authenticator App).
    • Then, the user can be verified through the Auth Code and will get a success message from the Same API.
    • Finally, the user will be able to log in successfully into the App.

Thank you for the explanation @chrisanubhav

I’m afraid that at the moment there is no way to do that with an out of the box install of the plugin. We have taken a note of this and have added it as a feature request. However, I cannot guarantee you when this feature will be added, sorry.

I am sorry I could not be of further help today. Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a great day.

    Hello @chrisanubhav

Unfortunately at this stage the plugin does not have the functionality to do what you require, sorry. This is something we might include in future updates.
