Need all features/teasers be excerpts w/o changing the Genesis>settings?

I’m wondering if there is a way to have all the features and teasers be excerpts without changing the Genesis>Theme Settings>Content Archives to Excerpts? That way I could keep my blog/home page excerpt free, and all other pages would show the excerpts in the grid.
Ideally, I’d like to use the Grid plugin on the search/archive/tag/category pages with one featured/full-width excerpt and several excerpted teasers in columns, and disable the plugin on the main page, to show only full length “normal” posts.
Currently, I set up the plugin to work only on the “blog home” option, and used a code snippet you provided to use full length features, while teasers inherit the genesis settings for content archives which is set to excerpts. I’m not using any teasers, since I don’t want any excerpts on my blog main page. Since the plugin is not set to work on the other pages (search/archive/tag/category pages), they just show the regular excerpts.
