Need a WordPress gallery plugin that allows captions off the images

I am building a website in WordPress and constructed the gallery using the Thumbnail Gallery plugin, but it does not allow captions to display off the main images. The client needs this. Does anyone know if this can be done, or can you suggest an alternative gallery?
