I need to create additional RSS feeds, besides the ones native to WordPress. And I need to have both working at the same time.

Here is what I want to do: I currently use the WP RSS feeds and I have them only using excerpts of my posts.

However I also want to create another URL for a feed that will display the entire posts within the feed and only display the posts from the last day. Is there a way to create a “rss template” so that, for example I could create another feed at mydomain.com/myotherrssfeed/ ?

Here’s a slightly better way to deal with that:

Hmm, me like! And better than jumping through the getdate() hoop.

Sorry for my delayed response. I had to again wait for a day of posts to test this. Yes, it works!!! ?? Cheers to Otto42 and Kafkaesqui!

I am going to set this thread to “resolved”, however I still have one small query that someone may be able to assist with:

As I was waiting for a day of posts to test I tried to change some of the code to display a) the last 2 days or be) the last 48 hours.

Is there a way to add it to say +2880 (48 hours X 60 minutes) or something like that to display the last X hours/days?

Not easily, no. You can get the entire month by leaving out the “day” parameter, and then filter the results to just the days you want though.

and then filter the results to just the days you want though.

I can see how to remove the month, but do you mean manually filter or is there a different way you suggest to filter? Actually I see this as an application that could be used in lots of ways if we could filter “by days”–currently we just get the month, day, or year, but setting to X days or X hours would be fantastic.

I switched this back to “Unresolved” since maybe somebody else has ideas about how to do this in WP.
