The plugin worked very well to pull my initial posts onto my website … really great. But then it never updated again. Well over a month now.

So, if I am correctly following instructions, I am supposed to submit my app for review on facebook … and therefore I watched the instruction video that is provided (thank you btw).

But now before I can submit the app, facebook wants a SCREENCAST video to show what it “does” or something? I seem to be lost and in the wrong place.

It may be a new thing, but the only help online is technical and beside the point for me … I’m not making an android marketing game app, just want to display posts from my own fb page. Any guidance is appreciated, thank you!

  • hi @johnroyce,

there is no need to submit your app for review. If you want to pull your own page’s content and display it with our plugin, you need to follow instructions on this page. Just keep your app in development mode.

Thank you for the information and resource, and the quick response!

I followed the page’s instructions, and now the facebook feed on the live website has stopped showing an ‘application limit’ error message at the top. !

However when I try to save the Page Access Token it gives the message: error: Something went wrong (trying edit feed).

    same problem here as well

    hi @johnroyce,

when you get that error message, does the plugin get facebook data ?
Does the feed appear on the frontend as it should be ?

When I first set up the plugin a few weeks ago, it immediately pulled in the facebook posts; it hasn’t updated since. But the (old) posts are displayed nicely.

You can see them on the live site (www.clean-round.com) … farthest right column.

    @johnroyce

did you enter your page access token, app ID and secret? They are necessary for the feed to update.

Well, this is the issue I’m asking for help with. When I try to save the Page Access Token it gives the message:

error: Something went wrong (trying edit feed).

To follow up … it took a bit of back and forth, but the plugin support at Web-Dorado came through. It turned out that the Page Access token had expired, due to facebook changes it seems. Hopefully those changes are settled down for now.

One detail in the mix is that the Page Access token must be used within the hour of creating it, which might catch people out who are just setting things up.

The plugin’s feed updated automatically this morning and all seems to be working. Thanks again to the plugin team, who went above and beyond in supporting a free user. Much appreciated!

    Have a wonderful day.

I am having exactly the same problem, but refreshing the page access code doesn’t help. I can’t save the feed edit because I can’t get past that error.

Can you assist further with this please.
