Need a plugin recommendation

Hello,

I am looking for a plugin that I can use to manage data for publicly bid construction projects on my company’s website and am having a hard time categorizing what I should look for. Let me show you want I want and hopefully you all can tell me.

My engineering company puts public works projects out for public bid. We would like to use our website as an information hub for contractors. I would like to include the ability to search current and past projects, a way to sort them by client, category (water, sewage, municipal, etc.) and status.

Each record needs to include, client name, project name, contract #, advertisement date, status and links to download small PDFs.

I am new to wordpress and do not have much experience coding. I am, however, a geek at heart, so I am not afraid to get into code. I just don’t know where to start.
