I’m going to be advertising a course
I want to be able to have a form that users can fill in and give their details + make a Paypal payment

Not a fully fledged shopping cart as such – but justa bit etra than just a simple form

Can someone recommend a plugin for this?

    Thanks

    Omar

  • Omar,
If I were doing this, and I just had one course, thus one product, I wouldn’t even bother with any plugins. I’d log into my Paypal account, make a Paypal buy-it-now button, grab the code, and paste it in a wordpress Page (or Post), using the editor’s HTML view if needed. Then you can add all the descriptions you want to the page above the button or wherever.

You could direct them to add their comments and info to the comment box that Paypal provides. If the course has some options, you can program that into the buy-it-now button, and they will see it when they click the button to Paypal.

That’s what I would do. Possibly too simple for this if you want a pretty form. ??

    Cheers, Dave

    dave, thanks for the reply
i did want to have it all looking a little professional and wanted to collect details of the buyer before sending them off too paypal

    i’ve tried out YAK plugin
i was hesitant at first – because it has a low rating
tried it: it’s awesome, just what i needed
there are some minor bugs – that don’t effect use of it
it’s a great shopping cart – that seems to be lightweight
i definitely didn’t want the full shopping cart – but at the same time needed something a little more than just having a payment button
