• I’ve searched around the internet and either can’t find the answer to this, or I just don’t know what people are talking about because it’s too comlex for me because I don’t know javascript at all.

Basically all I’m looking to do is hide text within a post title, i.e. only the post title shows, and when someone clicks on the title, the entire text of the post appears.

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Matt

  • I can’t point you at a direct solution but you might want to try googling on ‘spoiler javascript’.

Well I wouldn’t turn down a direct solution, lol.

I’ll google that and see what I come up with though.

    Thanks :).

Ok, the code on this page works great, but I’d prefer it if I could just click the title to show/hide the text, and not have a button there, as well as not have the outline around the text. EDIT: Got rid of the text outline.

If anyone could help that’d be great :). I’m trying it out on my own, but I don’t really know what I’m doing.

I have another question too actually. Would it be possible to only use the show/hide function when the post appears on my blog page, and not on the actual page of the post?

For example, I would want all post text to be hidden on mysite.com/blog (where all my posts are shown), but would not want it hidden on mysite.com/archives/specific_post (if I were to link someone a specific blog post).

I’m not sure if this even makes sense or not… or if this is even possible.

    Thanks for the help :).
