First of all, thank you for the ongoing development of this plugin, it’s really great!

Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I’m just wondering if you could help.

1). Is there a shortcode for The book cover with the review rating underneath? That can be pasted into a normal post?

2). How do I customise the background of the star rating, so it appears with a blue background like this page on the demo site?
    https://recencio.com/review/the-shadow-of-what-was-lost/

3). At the bottom of a review where you can enter ‘general information’ about the book, such as page count, ISBN etc. How do I populate the extra information? As it only displays the Author, publication date and ISBN for me and not the page count or URL etc.

4). Is there a way to change the publication date at all so it displays as DD/MM/YYYY?

Sorry for all of the questions, and I appreciate your help in advance. Thank you ??

    Hello,

    1. As thing are right now there is no shortcode to just display the book cover. However, I am currently rewriting the plugin to use the Gutenberg editor and its blocks.
    2. The blue background was created using the “Star Background Color” setting under the “Components” tab of the plugin’s settings page.
    3. To show the extra information on the frontend, make sure that the corresponding item is selected in the “Book Detail Items” section of the “Templates” tab of the plugin’s settings page.
    4. You’d have to change on its displayed on the review edit screen.

Sorry, my documentation of the plugin’s features are lacking.

    Thanks for your quick response!

Just another quick question. Is it normal that I’m unable to see anything other than the text (that I entered) when I am on the edit review screen? I can’t see the book cover, rating or rating box until I preview the page? So I’m unable to adjust sizes and positions etc.

    Thanks again!

Edit: Also when using the ‘convert’ feature to convert from a review to a normal post, it doesn’t seem to copy over the review elements (book cover, general info, review box). Is there something I need to do here as well? So sorry for being a pain.

    Thanks ??

I suppose you’re using the Gutenberg post editor, if so please bear in mind that this plugin predates it, so you will not see elements of the review until you visit the frontend. That is kinda why I am rewriting the plugin to support Gutenberg right now.

The review elements are tied to the “review” post type, so they wont show up if converted to a normal WordPress post.
