Need a duplicate blog page.

  • Hi, what I want to do is have two ‘blog’ type page. I know this has been talked about before but please bear with me! I want to run two separate feeds, one for ‘news’ and one for ‘reviews’. I basically want a clone of my home page (currently my blog page) that I can have on my site, I can then exclude (using the PECF plugin) certain categories from both pages, thus posting only the relevant feeds in the relevant threads.

    I also want to change the name HOME to REVIEWS.

    Is it easy to create a clone of the home page, can I do this from the dashboard itself or do I need to use text writer? If I do need to use a text writer, how then do I upload the new page template to wordpress? Do I insert it into my database directly????

    As you can probably tell I am pretty clueless about this sort of thing! I would really appreciate any help for the simplest way to get this sorted out!

    oh and its version 3.5 wordpress, working with the theme 2011 with a childtheme plugin if that makes any difference?

    Anyone? Do I need to create a custom template to do this? Or is there any way I can just re post the Home page?
