need -log in- and -register- codes

    hi folks
    i’d like to add -login- and -register- tags to my home page but do not want to use the meta widget.
    in wp docs i found out that the -register- code is <?php wp_register(); ?>
    but i could not find anything for -login/out-

    Anybody? Any idea?
