Navigation symbols are gone !”

  • Hi Jacob,

    Converting to V.6.6.0, I lost the navigation controls I liked so much in the slideshow. I’m now getting arrows instead of the “Start Slideshow”, “Previous Photo” and “Next Photo”.

    Reading the changelog, I see that “All slideshow and lightbox navigation is now performed by scalable vector graphic buttons” which explains this behavior. Is there a way to come back to the text controls ? In the meantime, I reverted to V. 6.5.09.

    There is a problem in internet explorer, so that most of them do not show up. This will be fixed in 6.6.01.

    The idea to convert text links to icons however, is intented for better navigation on mbile devices and to prevent layout issues ( too long texts ) and to avoid language problems ( there are only a few languages implemented ).

    I would even like to find clear icons to replace ‘Avarage rating’ and ‘My rating’ with.

    Besides, almost all navigation icons have titles, so when you hover over them you will see a tooltip saying what the symbol means.

    Yes, there will be a way soon. I had more requests for this, so version 6.6.10 will have the option to select textual navigation links as how they were before.

    Expected to be released first week january 2017

Table II-B0: Navigation type. Can be set to one out of: 'Icons', 'Icons on mobile, text on pc' or 'Text'. 
This makes the old text style coming back for those who really want it.

    Thanks. ‘Icons on mobile, text on pc’ seems like the perfect solution.
