I am having an issue with the pointer under the nav bar in the Mystique theme. When you go to my site, https://www.itsalltech.com, the homepage is listed as “News.” Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click, “Older Articles.” Then, look at the nav bar, the pointer under News is gone, but it was there before. This works perfectly fine under all other categories, except for this one. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    itsalltech,
When I looked at it, I saw ‘news’ on each article nav bar (using Firefox). Was I looking in the wrong place? (The theme is nice).

Thanks. Yes, you are looking at the wrong place. When you go to the hompeage (News), scroll all the way down and click “Older Articles.” Then, look at the nav bar. Under News, there is no pointer, but when you first launched the page, there was a pointer under News.

Okay, you’re speaking of the little pointer from the “news” link at the top under your header, right? The pointer probably goes away because you are no longer on the ‘home’ page. The template is perhaps coded to only show the pointer when you’re on the home page, but you have your homepage listed as ‘news’. The pointer seems to be there to show the user where they are, and the template coding most likely assumed the tab that you’re using for ‘news’ would be home. That’s my guess. What template is that?

Mystique theme. That’s exactly what I’m talking about. But, if you were to go to Reviews for example, it would work fine. Even if you go to Older Articles.

Well dah …. I guess I didn’t see the ‘Mystique’ name on your forum post title, or in your first post – silly me! LOL – been at the computer too long today. Okay, I checked again and see what you’re saying. I did see the little pointers for the other tabs, but not for either ‘news’ or for ‘forum’. Don’t know why that would be, but probably most people won’t notice that, except for you because you’re the webmaster. =)
Everything else seemed to appear to function correctly, at least what I tried as I snooped around. Looks nice.

It seems like the issue is that it thinks when clicking “Older Articles,” it goes to another page, instead of bringing it to the category/page/2. Is there any way I can change this?
