    Hi, I use the plugin on several sites and everything is fine, but I extended the settings to check the Navigation Menues and it doesn’t check them.
    I put in a staging environment, links to 404 pages and they do not appear in the list of broken links.

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for contacting us!

    This option is a part of he “Local (old)” engine. I just tested it on my end and it seems that you are right – I was able to replicate this issue.

    However, since it actually is an “old”/”legacy” engine and I didn’t come across similar reports in the past, I’m not quite sure yet whether this would be a bug or this option refers to some very specific cases (or has some specific requirements).

    I have asked our Broken Link Checker Team to look into it and check it closer so if it’s a bug we could possibly fix it. I’m awaiting their feedback and I (or one of my colleagues) will update you here soon with more information about it.

    I just got an update from Broken Link Checker team and they confirm that this appears to be a bug that wasn’t yet known to us.

    Unfortunately, I don’t have a workaround but since it’s already confirmed to be a bug, they’ll work on a fix to be included in one of upcoming releases of the plugin (though I don’t have ETA).

    You can also consider switching plugin to the “Cloud (new)” engine version – as this version works as a “crawler” and crawls site’s front-end from outside, so it would see those links out of the box.
