Navigation menu items don’t react on hover

I’m seeing exactly the same, along with a host of other issues with Spectra One and Spectra Pro. Honestly having dived into this new release full of optimism I’m coming away feeling like it’s barely Beta Software.

Thanks for the feedback mate : I fell less alone now. And you are right : the new block system in WP still needs polish – and I imagine that for Theme providers this is quite challenging. I have chosen to go with Spectra One Theme because they have the track record of Astra. My bet is that they will do the necessary work required to iron out bugs, like they did in the past – while finding the time to check support forums too :-D.

I am afraid, we don’t have our own navigation block, this navigation block belongs to the Gutenberg that is the default WordPress editor. However, we are developing our own navigation block with more advanced features. We will release the new update as soon as it is done.

Thanks for your feedback. I can’t wait for the update! Meanwhile, I have added this line to the global CSS – it underlines the selected menu item, which should do for now:

.wp-block-navigation-item:hover {
text-decoration-line: underline;
}

Many thanks Jerome for your comment and the fix – it works a treat! I’ve had the same issue with Spectra One. Must be something to do with the combo of Spectra and WP because I didn’t have this issue with another theme (Ollie). The whole navigation /menu solution in WP is very weak at the moment, so like you I can’t wait for a better navigation block.
