Navigation Menu Dropdown

Hi Everyone,
I am getting a little frustrated with this issue and thought i would post to get some help with it. My navigation menu dropdown keeps hiding behind my header image, slider, layerslider whatever type of header image i have the menu hides behind it. I have just changed it to a static image now and it is still doing it? How do i resolve this please?
