Navigation menu color states

I’m developing a website locally on my computer but will try my best to illustrate what I’m looking for in this post.

I’ve changed the hover states to each header so it’ll change to the color above but I want the rest of the navigation menu to change to the color once it has been clicked.

Key:

Navigation Menu default color – black
Header 1 – Red
Header 2 – Green
Header 3 – Blue

For example:

User clicks header 1 and the rest of the navigation menu becomes red (instead of the default black).

User clicks header 2 and the rest of the navigation menu becomes green etc.

Is this achievable via css?
