Navigation issues – need for 301 redirect?
-
I’m using a free template, and installed it into its own (wordpress) sub-directory. I’ve also copied the index.php file from the wordpress sub-directory into the root directory. (I realize there are now 2 index.php files). This should allow me to access the site from https://www.example.com and then navigate through the pages such as https://www.example.com/wordpress/about-us
But…the way the navigation is written is beyond my understanding, and if you try to move from example.com/wordpress/about-us back to the home page you end up not on https://www.example.com, but instead on https://www.example.com/wordpress/home
I suspect this might be fixable with a 301 redirect, but not sure how to proceed. Ideally, I’m sure I should just reinstall WP into the root directory but I don’t have time for that now (hoping for a quick response here). 2nd choice would be to redirect from https://www.example.com/wordpress/home back to https://www.example.com
How can I do it?
