Navigation font weight different on index page

  • I have come across this strange issue with my wordpress page. the navigation font weight is different on the homepage than on all the other pages. any ideas?

    notes:
    no font weight explicitly set but doing so doesnt fix issue
    issue persists across chrome canary, chrome and safari 5.1.7.
    running imac on m os x 10.6.8
