Navigation buttons for the thumbnails grid

My designer created one design concept where gallery page should have left/right navigation arrows to switch pictures grid from one page to another. Something really close to the images slider or carousel , but navigation should affect grid of the gallery thumbnails. Not sure if it’s possible in your gallery. Maybe you can create such functionality by request ?
