• I experience a little bit with the navigation block and would like to change the hamburger menu icon. How can I accomplish that?
As far as I understand the code, the icon (Button) is embedded in the file navigation.php of the plugin. So if I change it there it will be overwritten with the next update.

I think it would be important to have the possibility to change teh button because otherwise this button will look the same on millions of websites (who use fse or the gutenberg plugin).

    Thank you in advance!

  • The advantage of using the same icon as millions of other sites is that people (mostly) know what it means. When the “hamburger” was first used … nobody had any idea what was. Mobile navigation suffered. So unless you changed it to say, “NAV,” people won’t know what the icon does. Heck NAV might not be understood!

I understand your point of view, but this icon for the button is not self explaining. It has just two layers and is not a hamburger at all ??
And I really don’t understand the purpose of putting teh svg in the source code. Why not a backgroud image, so that it can be easily changed.
WordPress say that wonderful designs could easily be achieved, but then you don’t have the chance to change anything.
I really like the navigation block but adaptions should be possible,
