Navigation Bar Menu Items

Hello,
I’m trying to move my navigation bar menu items to the right.

I put the following code in my stylesheet next to .navbar-inner.
float:right

This did move menu items to the right. However, the green colored menu bar no longer goes across the screen when I do this (it moves right also).

Can anyone tell me how to move the menu items to the right without moving the whole bar?
