  • There really isn’t one, unless the top navigation isn’t the primary one. Normally it is, but not all themes are designed that way.

    Your top navigation could consist of home, contact,
    while your primary navigation could be on the sidebar and consist of your pages.

    These are just words though and are very subjective. It’s all just navigation and you can call it what you want.
