Have you tried reinstalling the core files?

How do I do that?

Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folders before uploading the new ones.

I was able to find the wp-content folder, and the wp-config.php file but not the .htaccess file to keep. Where are the .htaccess files located so I can be sure not to delete it. Thanks…

ah got it, had to show hidden dot files to see it on the back end.

It wont let me re upload wp-admin folder/file at all. Or it fails at 10%

zipping the file and unzipping it once it’s uploaded via FTP seemed to be the trick.

Sadly.. it had no effect
