• The new astra_is_svg_icons cause a conflict with Nav Menu.

I have a fully built Elementor Main Header without any Astra widget and without the use of Astra Header builder.

As soon as I placed the astra_is_svg_icons action in theme functions.php, here we go, duplicated sub menu indicator and even add indicator on sub that have no more sub level.

To fix the issue, for those that have Astra Pro need to activate the Astra Pro Nav Menu widget.

Seems that you can’t use the default Elementor Pro Nav Menu without activating Astra Nav Menu widget.

    Something wrong there!

Also, if you have the astra_is_svg_icons actions in the theme functions.php and:

1- have an Elementor Pro Nav Menu with the submenu indicator set to none
    2- Astra Nav menu desactivated

Astra will create submenu indicator even if the Elementor Pro is set the None for sub menu indicator.

Header is fully built as Elementor Template without any Astra widgets and header builder.

    Hello @amie123,

If you was using WP Astra prior v3.3.0 and did the update, they instructed here to add a filter in functions.php

Ass soon I placed that code, I started having icons issues within the Nav Bar.

So I’m avoiding the use of this code.

I’m not using Astra Nav Menu also.

I’m using native Elementor Nav Menu. Nothing in my header is from Astra.

On the other end, I did a clean install with the latest version of astra and the issue still persist and this time, the code is included within the plugin.

The only way I’ve been able to get rid of duplicated icons is by activating the Astra Pro module Nav Menu even if my header doesn’t use it.

Since the bug been reported, no fix from Astra been released.

    Hope this helps

    Hi @amie123, @logikconcept,

Our dev team is still working to fix the issue. We planned to include the fix on v3.4.0 which if everything is running as expected, we shall release within next week. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

In the meantime @amie123, you can do what @logikconcept did as a workaround.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

Thank you so much for your quick replies @logikconcept and @bsfherman !!

I will definitely try the workaround and see how it goes ?? But it is also really nice to hear that it is being worked on by the dev team!

    Have a lovely weekend!

    Best regards,

    Amelie ??
