• I use the s2memebr plugin and it works very well.
I do have a problem though, that I am sure can be solved in an easy way:

I am bulding an eCommerece with Woocommerce, and used the level restriction on most of the products so non members will see only a few products.
All works well, when the All filter in alternative veiw protection – but at the same time it hides some the other link pages on the nav menu.

When I un check the nav hide menu – I do see the links but then I see all the products as well.

Any ideas how to solve it? I need to see the links on the nav but hide the products at the same time…..

  • I believe the Nav Menu Roles plugin should give you what you are looking for.

    Thanks KTS915,
Tried that now but didn’t solve my problem.
I need to reveal the links but when you click on it, it should redirect you to the registration page. While in other pages it should still hide my products….
    very frustrating

Have you tried using s2Member’s Simple Shortcode Conditionals instead of protecting posts or pages?

@lara_c_2: With some PHP coding is possible to handle the links in any menu, I explain a way at https://krumch.com/2013/08/27/how-to-place-loginlogout-link-in-submenus-of-wordpress/. Or I can do for you.

KTS915, tried the short codes, still all products thumbnails (I use a visual composer) are showing up on the page….

krumch – thanks going to give it a try now

Still can’t get the links on the menu to show up….
    Help someone!

This happens only when the filters in s2member is all selected….

I think the problem is that you are using Visual Composer. This means that your content is not actually on your posts and pages at all. It’s actually “inside” Visual Composer, which does its own thing and doesn’t follow WordPress conventions.

As a result, neither s2Member nor the Nav Menu Roles plugin can help you, because VC is hiding the ball from them.

This is my top reason for absolutely hating VC. You are tied into it completely.

    Apparently….I guess I am stuck….
    Thanks though

@lara_c_2: You just should use a “text editor”, instead “text processor” editing software, when you edit HTML, PHP and JS codes. In PC use Notebook, for example. My favorite is Vim, works at wide range of platforms.

How to recognize “text editor” from “text processor”: if you can change the size of letters of one word only, this is “text processor”.

    Good luck! ??
