Hi – Quick question. I have your login setup to appear when a user clicks on a specific link on my main nav bar. When they complete their login, the nav item disappears. Any idea why this might happen?

    Thanks!

This is intentional – you don’t need a login link if you are already logged in. Fun tip, add the logout link as well – it’ll only show when logged in.

I see your point. I have a client who is looking to have 2 pages password protected and would like users to be presented with a login box if they attempt to view the pages but would like to keep the nav item in place. Any suggestions on how I might be able to do that?

If you are using WP’s built-in password protected posts, this has nothing to do with logging in. You just set a password on the post.

Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer. I’m using your plugin in conjunction with Pete’s Login Redirect. My client is looking to direct specific users to specific pages based upon their login. This is working properly using Pete’s Login Redirect. I was then trying to use your plugin to display the login box for users to login to. Sorry for the confusion.

So, you want both the Login and Logout items in the menu at the same time?
