Nav Buttons ouside Slider Image

Sure, you could do that with a custom stylesheet. You would have to add some padding to the left and right of the slideshow and then move the prev and next buttons onto that padding.

They are absolutely positioned, so you can move them anywhere, but they need to be “within” the slideshow, like over the padding, otherwise they won’t appear on hover in those areas. You could also just change the styling so they are always displayed, then you can position those buttons anywhere without the padding.
