• I would like to see the ability to name Pages in a multi paged post. Does anyone know how to??
Also it would be nice to be able to add other fields such as “filename” and “filelocation” to be able to link to files out side of the main post text, and have a seperate listing of just the files or pictures with categories…

  • I was actually looking at this same thing, as I’m trying to do a reviews/articles-oriented site.
I already added a hack into the post-getter (the_content, I think) to be able to inline link-outs to things like amazon or other data sources that I want to pull into an article (customized inlined pix too…).
I could see having the thing that grabs the nextpage break look for a page title (like
    –nextpage:some page title–
That’d be pretty easy, and likely the approach I’ll be taking. If you want a snippet, I can post once I have it done.

Bumping this because it was posted over a year ago and I’m looking for a similar solution —

On some pages / posts, I’d like to give each page of multiple posts or pages a name.

Automatic numbering should be the default, but I’d like the option to name each page of a post or page – eg ‘Xxxx’, ‘Yyyy’, ‘Zzzzz’, rather than 1,2,3….

Can’t see any evidence of this on your site, David, but if you did write some code that makes this possible, could you post it?

    cheers.
