• Hello,

    I have two simple forms;

Form #1 – email field, message field
Form #2 – name field, email field, subject field, message field

In Form #1 the Subject arrives fine, in Form #2 the subject always has something added to the end of it, either the user’s email, or the users name and I cannot figure out why.

Both forms have the same Email Subject Prefix: on the Basic Settings tab, and I am not using tags in either subject, can you help please?

  • Hi, have you added anything under the Advanced tab for Form 2?

Sorry for the delay, I somehow missed your reply

Please see a snapshot of the Advanced tab, I don’t recall adding anything except the 3 fields that are blurred out

Hi, you don’t have Confirmation Email Settings enabled? Is that how you want your settings to be? What about Form1? Can you also share a screen capture for the Advanced tab?

Hello, that’s correct, I am not wanting a notification sent to the user at this point. Snapshot of Form1 below (looks identical, unless I’m missing something).

I’m also including a snapshot of Form2 on the Basic Settings tab

Hi, looking closely at your original question I think that is how those fields work as per example below.

Form #1 – email field, message field
Form #2 – name field, email field, subject field, message field

If you create a third form only for testing purposes and only add the same fields as Form 1 above you will not receive the same info as in Form 2. If this happens then you know that the information in Form 2 is associated with the fields you added to the form.

Let me know what happens when you try my suggestion above.

    Kind regards

    Hello,

Yes, the fields are correct, the problem is that when I receive the notification, it is appended with the user’s name or email, and I don’t see how that’s possible because I am not using any field tags

If you take a look at the following screenshot, you will see that my subject field is: HTMAW: Help (there are no tags after that)

What is happening, is that the subject appears as:

    HTMAW: Help [email protected]
    or…
    HTMAW: Help Fred Flintstone

It is very strange because I am not using tags so there should be nothing in the subject field other than what I defined in the field, correct?

Hi, your issue is very strange. Just for testing purposes, can you create another form similar to Form 1. Then carry out a test.

Then create another form similar to Form 2. Then carry out another test and report back providing details of the outcome for both tests.

    Thank you
