Name missing in Newsletter Form

    By default I used to get both the Name and Email in my subscription form on my newsletter page. For some reason all I get now is email. Name is gone. I could not find any setting to change that. Also, when I switch the shortcode from NEWSLETTER to NEWSLETTER Form 1 I can get both name and email, but then all other messages dont work anymore.

    How can I get Name to show again on the newsletter page?

    Hi, you have a custom form, see the form fields configuration, at the top there is a link to that HTML forms.

    The name can be configured in the form fields panel and the shortcode to use is [newsletter_form] without any other attribute.

    Hi Stefano,

    I am using [newsletter_form form=1] on the default newsletter page, BECAUSE the default shortcode [newsletter] only shows the EMAIL as a form field. Using [newsletter_form] also ONLY shows Email.

    But, when I use [newsletter_form form=1] (which is my custom Form No 1) the form is displayed correctly, but the newsletter page does not display any other system messages any more, like when a client subscribes.

I really dont understand why a dedicated newsletter subscription page created by default through the system only has an email form element, and is missing the name??

    Unfortunately, the manual is not very clear on this. I ONLY WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DISPLAY NAME AND EMAIL ON MY NEWSLETTER PAGE (the one created by the system) and I want the system messages to show normally as well.

    BTW, I cannot change the default code. I can only cut and paste it.

    Hi, the fields shown by [newsletter_form] need to be configured in the subscription form fields panel.

    Hi Stefano,

    I finally figured it out. For anyone reading this with the same problem, do the following:

    1.) Goto “List Building > SUBSCRIPTION FORM FIELDS, BUTTONS, LABELS”
    2.) Under the “Main Profile fields” tab, go to “First Name”.
    3.) Under “When to show” choose “Show on Subscription Form”.
    4.) Click save.
