    Name/email aren’t showing on the agent side even though it’s set by the user. Tested with a logged out user. Using local server.

    Please may I ask you to update to version 8.0.36 in an attempt to resolve this issue?

    We recently released 8.0.36 which adds a tremendous amount of stability and resolves issues with chat session data retention. I believe this should resolve your issue

    It’s still missing. When the chat is initiated, i.e. before any messages are sent either way, the live agent’s window shows “Guest no email set” at the top right at least when using the local server. The agent is unable to greet the customer by name in the first message as a result.

    Same issue here. The name of the visitor is always “Guest”. If I enable the option “Advenced Features -> Use our server to handle chats” the name is shown.

    Hey there, not sure why this was set to resolved, i’ll take a look into that. In regards to the issue itself, you’re right, it seems that this issue was introduced a few versions ago.

    We’ll be fixing this for the upcoming release of the plugin in the next couple of weeks. My apologies for the inconvenience this issue may have caused.

    Hi there,

    As per my previous reply. A new update is incoming that will contain over 300 fixes (including a fix for this).

    Generally the new update will be more secure than the majority of plugins out there and the various minor and major bugs that you’re experiencing will be fixed. Not to say that everything is fixed, but the vast majority will be indeed fixed.
