I wish to use the name attribute to link internally to a page reference area. Useful in long lists, it appears from this post that the name tag is now depreciated?

I’m using static links but as the pages are still generated from the core of wordpress rather than being separate pages (index.php, contact.php) I can’t see how to use a name-style attribute.

Previously I could just add <p> next to a header of my choosing and link to it with https://www.mysite.com/stuff.php#four for global access or href’/stuff.php#four’ and I’d be all set.

How can I achieve this now?
