Nagware Upgrade Dismiss x button non-functional

The nagware Upgrade dismiss button does not work. The Upgrade message returns on every page and refresh – clicking the button does nothing. What we lovingly refer to as “nagware” usually motivates me to remove a plugin the same day, but this one is new and growing, and I like the overall look. If things start working smoothly, I will update – but I really don’t need to be reminded every 5 seconds.
