Mystile cart widget "item" text fails

I have a Woocommerce website with the Mystile theme installed. The top menu bar has a card widget, a checkout link and a search function. These 3 fields don’t translate along with the rest of the website. I managed to translate the “checkout” and “search products” in the themes “theme-woocommerce.php” and “header.php” files. Because changing the PO file or translating it to Danish makes no effect. But now these fields works. I also changed “item” and “items” to “vare” and “varer” in the “theme-woocommerce.php” file, so the cart widget should appear correctly, but it doesn’t work. When i update the page, the danish translation is shown in a blink of an eye before the text is replaced with the English “item” or “items”. Any suggestions to what might cause this?
