I am not code savvy but have been designing a website slowly but surely & have noticed when i was making edits that a white section at the bottom of my entire website appeared that just says page. I can’t seem to find the source or a way to easily remove it on my own. I was hoping someone could troubleshoot this and give me an easy way to remove it. I am using a page builder (elementor) & using Astra as my theme.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @greenb123

As i can see when i inspected the source code. there is a text in that section as “page”. and probably this text is causing that white space.

It’s hard coded in your index.php file.

    Solution

    • Login to the Admin Section
    • Navigate Appearacne
    • Editor (look for index.php (do not elsewhere only look for the simple text “page”))
    • Remove it
    • Save

Now Refresh your homepage and if it is gone

    THank you

It is not in the index.php. I just went through & followed your instruction but this text “page” isn’t in this section. Could it possibly be elsewhere?

if it is not on the index.php then should be footer.php Look for the footer php and let me know.

    THank you

It was a plugin that I had downloaded but didn’t have running. Luckily I wasn’t using it so it was an easy fix once I located the issue. Thank you for helping!!!
