• Every time I open my blog to edit it, I find something has changed. When I opened my blog to edit it today I found contact forms (plug in) on every page. I didn’t ask for one, there is no widget for one. How do I get rid of them? How do I get one if I want one in the future? Why did a page I created disappear? Why was it replaced with an empty category page? Why can’t I delete that page, since it isn’t a page — it’s a category and there is no place to delete categories? Where is information about drop down menus? Why do I have a pages menu in the sidebar when there is already a header pages menu?

OK. Now the contact forms have disappeared, but now there is a comment widget on every page. I only want one. One page has been set as a post page, but when I add a post, it doesn’t show up on that page but on a new page. Why can’t I just click on an item to get it, then click to put it where I want it or delete it?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – repairing your database.
